The forum of Imo Newspaper Editors has conferred a "media Ambassador
award" on, Sunny Onyeukwu, a special Assistant to the minister of
science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu .
The ceremony which held weekend was at the recipient's residence in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

The event was chaired by the majority leader of the state house of Assembly, Lugard Osuji.
The majority leader who represents Owerri Municipal state constituency described the award as befitting and deserving of the recipient.
Osuji said that the award which came from a reputable group renowned for their integrity and sincerity made it more spectacular .
The lawmaker said that Onyenekwu's achievements were encouraging and would spur any youth to be focused in the journey of life.
the chairman of the Editors' forum, Mr Eze Aduku said that the forum chose the recipient for the prestigious award because of the indomitable role he had played in the growth of the profession.
Aduku said "though you are a politician, but you have supported the growth and success of the journalism profession in the state as if you are one of the practitioners. We are here to say thank you for your great and superlative encouragements "
The award recipient averred that the honour would leave a lasting impression in his life, having came from a reputation organization.
